Baltimore, MD, October 21, 2016 – Smooth jazz recording artist, Jim Samuel, is excited to announce that his song NOW THAT YOU’RE GONE, will be part of an audio songbook included with the release of the new Harry Bosch novel, THE WRONG SIDE OF GOODBYE.
The Bosch novels, written by Michael Connelly are among the top selling detective novels sold worldwide and has led to the very popular TV series "BOSCH" from Amazon Studios, starring Titus Welliver in the title role of Harry Bosch."
Connelly’s Harry Bosch, besides being a detective, is a jazz fan who bridges crime solving with listening to charts from jazz masters such as Frank Morgan, Art Pepper and Chet Baker along with contemporary artists like saxophonist Grace Kelly. When Jim was asked about how he became involved with the Harry Bosch novels, he explained: "I have been a Bosch fan for over 20 years. As I was finishing my last album, horn man, Tony Neenan, asked me to write one more song that he could play on the flugelhorn. I imagined a song, the kind of song Harry Bosch would like.” Tony’s request resulted in NOW THAT YOU'RE GONE.
Thinking that Michael Connelly would get a kick out of the evolution of the song (and hopefully like the song) Jim sent NOW THAT YOU’RE GONE to Connelly’s publisher earlier this year. The summer the publisher contacted Jim about an audio songbook, a special feature for the new Harry Bosch novel. Jim stated “I am truly excited about being a part of THE WRONG SIDE OF GOODBYE release; I have been a Bosch fan ever since receiving my first Harry Bosch novel as a Christmas gift."
